A little word about beer..
it's fuckin' good.
As I sit here enjoy my quite slightly frozen Guinness draught in a bottle it really made me think about how much I do love beer; and I do. The reason I bought this six pack of bottles was because of a page I stumbled upon
headrambles.com/2007/10/10/how-to-survive-your-first-guinness/ [headrambles.com/2007/10/10/how-to-survive-your-first-guinness/] )
about how to order & drink Guinness in Ireland. Fascinating bit of crap you have to go through for a pint but still great all the same. Anyhoo, he described the event so well I realized I had never enjoyed a Guinness straight up, without being a black and tan with Bass Ale or the base of a Car Bomb alongside a hefty shot of Jameson and Bailey's. Even now, freezing my top lip, with the rocket widget barely doin it's magic... and yet it is still good. It's a dense flavor, kinda chocolatey .. kinda smokey. Sits on the tongue nicely, with a little bit of a twinge. And when correctly poured I think its quite full and fluffy as compared to other beers. Now I must say this is not nearly the way Id like to be enjoying a Guinness but I didn't feel like paying 5 dollars for A BEER, when I could pay 9$ (still I think thats expensive) for 6.
I like all different types of beer. In the light category I do fancy a Bud Light or Miller Lite.. I'm afraid of Sam light because I'll just stick with a regular Sam Boston. If I want the flavor, I can deal with the calories. As for the other two beers, party beers. If you can afford it, drinking game beers, imo. I think of them as full flavor lightish drinking beers that I really wouldn't consider to enjoy except maybe during the summertime in which a Bud Light by the pool is pretty damn refreshing, but usually I dont prefer a light to drink. Budweiser is about the lightest I'll go and for an inexpensive beer I really enjoy the flavor ( in bottle of course, I dont drink beer out of cans unless quite intoxicato)
But some lightish beers I do like are the Belgian White Ales .. like Blue Moon.. and my newly discovered Shock Top. These unfiltered wheat beauties pour a cloudy light orangish-yellow color. They are not too light but not heavy in body. Kinda citrusy to begin with, they are usually kicked up a notch with the addition of an orange or lime wedge. Shock Top is a great new one from Budweiser.. in which the citrusy orange, lemon lime flavors are already hinted in the beer. It even has specific pouring instructions on the bottle to get all the good flavors they throw in. For 6$ for a six pack I didn't think it a bad deal and it tasted even better than the price. A great refreshing beer.
And thus I think I shall end my small rant on beer. Happy drinking! :)

I really don't know how much diligence it took and creativity and .. insanity to undergo such a feat but bravo. I would never in my wildest think of such a project. But it was creative. .. and kinda crazy.

I happen to like macro photographs and I think some of these are quite attractive. I thought the case with eyeshadows was clever and took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at.

A school project to illustrate and describe the Grecian meaning behind many words in our English language. Many of our words come from Gods and certain situations they've found themselves in or powers they possess. I don't know enough about Greek mythology to say whether this is accurate, but I did enjoy it.

Hmm well, I suppose this is the first post to my stumbleupon blog.
Wundebar!
I think that I shall start with a gripe b/c what better way is there?
My gripe is this: only 127 choices can be chosen as interests on Stumbleupon.
This I find to be SHOCKING! I am someone who has an interest in a VAST number of things. I like everything from to writing poetry to Ancient Civilizations, to the latest technologies or scientific advances. I find myself having to prioritize my interests in order to make sure I have checked those I feel really are my 127 MOST favorite interests.
Who's to say that I like rock music more than Punk rock. What if I like both music genres equally? But nooo, upon redo-ing my interests I am prompted with this god awful box "ERR. only 127 choices may be selected ... WTF ! Now, I have to go through ALL 127 interests and think about which ones are waning in my interest pool. Also I take into account whether I've stumbled upon sites in that category I enjoyed or if they bored me.
I believe recently Nanosci has taken a backseat to Oceania (I saw Crocodile Dundee not long ago and made me want to learn more about the Aborigines (I'm unsure whether Australia is part of Oceania but I've always felt it is and so)
Harrowing process really. Then .. when you un-click a choice, there's the consequence of missing out on a cool stumble; your interest just wasn't.. enough. Quite stressful as well, its almost as grave as deleting someone from your contact list :-o
I feel you should choose as many freaking interests 'til your heart's content, so no spark is left behind.
There's got to be a better way.
Anyhoo thanks for reading. Welcome to my thought patterns, they're wicked random, hope you enjoy.
